Complete a free North Dakota parole search efficiently and effectively with the tools and methods provided in this resource.
Parole allows inmates to complete the rest of their sentences in society while still being monitored; on the other hand, probation lets those guilty of minor crimes live under supervision in lieu of jail time.
This resource contains details on how to search for individuals on parole, find those who have been declared absconders, and get details about the supervised release hearings. At the end, there is also a section regarding finding individuals on probation.
How To Run a North Dakota Parole Search at No Cost
North Dakota provides a way to check parole records for free. The key institutions are the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) and the Parole Board.1 The former (ND DOCR) manages state prisons while the latter (the board) considers whether an individual should get parole or not.
You can perform a parole search request in the state through the North Dakota DOCR. Each month, new data is published by the parole board on the site; this can be accessed through the ‘Parole Board Results’ section.
One click on a specific month opens up a detailed section containing data about each parolee, their state ID, DOCR number and their full name. Also listed is the action taken on their parole status and the board also shares when their supervised release began. There are notes too, providing deferral information and comments relevant to them.
If you want information or need to express concerns about parole affairs you can find solutions by reaching out directly to them at the following:

North Dakota Parole Violator & Absconder Lookup
Searching for a North Dakota parole violator can be done through the Parole Board.2 As mentioned in the above section the same monthly list issued by the Parole Board can be utilized.
The list can be accessed under the parole board results section. It not only contains information on the release status but also on individuals who have violated their parole conditions and thereby have become absconders or had their supervised release revoked.
The act of violating parole might include any unlawful activity or involvement in prohibited behavior after getting parole. It’s important to note that the North Dakota Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) identifies three forms of revocations: a technical violation, a new offense and absconsion.3
The ND DOCR also highlights that the percentage of revocation stands at 19% for technical violation, 42% for a new offense and 24% for absconding.
Apart from the above, interested individuals can also contact the Parole Board directly at the following if they want to inquire further about parole violators:

How To Find Inmates in a North Dakota State Prison
If you are interested in knowing about someone in state prison, then this can be done through the North Dakota Resident Lookup Tool.4 This tool is maintained by the North Dakota Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (ND DOCR). The ND DOCR maintains this as a database with details of everyone in their correctional facilities.
You can search for inmates using this tool by typing in their first and last names in the search box and hitting the ‘Submit’ option. This will produce a list of inmates bearing the same name in the database.
Upon clicking on an inmate’s name, the search result will be displayed on your screen and will include information pertaining to that specific inmate. The search result will also provide information about their estimated release date and the facility where they are kept and show their mugshots, too.
However, do note that the tool doesn’t provide information about parolees and thus cannot be used to perform parole search requests in North Dakota.
In North Dakota, visiting an inmate in a state prison is managed through an extended process. Firstly, all visitors need to fill out a visitation application for approval.5 The application must be completed and then sent directly to the facility where the inmate resides.
Keep in mind that official photo ID is essential when entering; children under 16 are exempt if accompanied by adults or guardians. However, adults without ID will face refusal of entrance. Once inside, you will be required to fill out what’s called a visiting card.
Then you wait for the card to be processed before being guided by an officer towards your seating area. A typical inmate has about 20 hours for all live visits per month with each visit being counted as one hour if it exceeds ten minutes.
Lastly, keep note that these allowed hours don’t cover video calls or meetings, which have separate rules and scheduling times of their own. Sending money to inmates in North Dakota can be done through JPay – an online service that can be used around the clock. To send money, you will need to visit the JPay website or call (800)574-5729 for instructions.
You can also get in touch directly with the ND DOCR at the following to get more clarity on the matter:
